I want to build an editing PC, following is the configuration that I have planned.

i5 4960K
GigaByte Z97-D3H
WD 1TB Caviar
Samsung 120GB SSD EVO
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3
Zotac NVIDIA 730/740
GameMax 9601-A Cabinet
Corsair VS650 PSU
Creative 5.1 Sound Card

And, Thats all.. Kindly help. In a huge fix.
Kindly provide suggestions about compatibility & sustainability, or any alternates!!

Solution
The PSU you listed in your original configuration will work fine, and both of those GPU's will work well. You can always read reviews on both cards to get a wider range of opinions on each.

Media editing builds will benefit from an i7 CPU, the CPU you listed is better for gaming. Also if you plan to overclock your CPU as indicated by the "K" on the CPU and the "Z" on the motherboard, you will want an aftermarket CPU cooler. I would recommend more HDD space than 1 TB for storing uncompressed data. A more powerful graphics card is recommended for video rendering and high resolution playback. A Creative sound card does not provide a lot of benefit. You're better off using the motherboard's on board sound or purchasing an external sound card if sound quality is very important. What is your budget?

First off, get a newer i7. They have hyperthreading, which will absolutely chew through the video editing. Those softwares are designed to take advantage of multiple threads. You should get a heavy motherboard. Doing video editing will get your computer pretty hot. Get something with some heatsinks. WD has multiple Caviar drives, which one did you have in mind? SSD is a good choice, Samsung rules that industry. RAM is fine, but if you plan on doing really heavy stuff you might consider getting more. Also, what is the RAM clock speed? That matters. I'd say the rest is all fine.

THANKS FOR YOUR VALUABLE REPLY!

ACTUALLY I'M QUIET LOW ON BUDGET OF ABOUT INR 75,000.

ABOUT HDD- I HAVE ANOTHER 500 GB HDD.

SOUND CARD- I FELT THE SAME!!

PLS RECOMMEND ME A GOOD GRAPHIC CARD AN PROCESSOR THAT COULD FIT IN MY BUDGET.
I WAS ALSO THINKING OF THE AFTERMARKET CPU COOLER, IS IT FEASIBLE??

THE ABOVE GRAPHIC CARD AND RAM, BOTH ARE OVERCLOCKABLE, WILL THAT BENEFIT?

RAM - 1600Mhz (OVERCLOCKABLE)
MOBO- I WAS THINKING OF ADDING COOLERS. WHAT SAY?
HDD - WD BLACK ( http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=760 )

You're quite welcome. If you can afford an i7 within your budget, it'll be well worth it. Can't recommend a graphics card, I'm not really into the video editing stuff. Just get one that fits your budget, but gives you good performance. On Black Friday, I bought myself an EVGA GeForce GTX 760. It's not horribly expensive, and it seems to perform quite well. As for the processor, they're all actually pretty good. I have an i7-4790K, but it's pretty expensive. Get one with at least 4 cores and hyperthreading. The WD Black drives are great drives, that's a pretty good choice. Definitely get coolers for the motherboard.

What are your options for purchasing parts? The equivalent $1200 usd will be enough but I'm not sure how expensive parts are where you live. If you can, get an i7 cpu with 4 cores and hyperthreading that is clocked at close to 4 GHz. If you can get that you can save yourself some money by getting non over clocking parts. Use that saved money to buy yourself a gtx 960 (coming out soon) or gtx 970. Also, 16 gb ram may help you but you can always set yourself up to add more ram later if you need it

What about i7 4790 or i7 4790k?
actually if i say about saving and choose i7 4790 over i7 4790k then i would hardly save INR 2000, but the difference in the price of gtx 970 and gt 740 is about INR 21,000, which is more than ten times as gt 740 costs about INR 7,000 and gtx 970 costs about INR 28,000.

Definitely your best bet. The 4790/K processors have a redesigned thermal layer, making them cooler at higher speeds. If you don't mind spending a little more, go with the K. It's stock clock speed is 4ghz. I'd suggest a GTX card. If you're doing really hardcore editing, you should get a newer one (GTX 970).

The problem is the gt cards are fairly weak and while you don't necessarily need a gtx 970, the higher the resolution and quality you're working with the more graphics output capability you'll need. I would recommend at least a gtx 750 ti.

750 Ti is probably a good choice, I have a 760 FTW, but that's just because I need a lot of memory for rendering images. If the software can take advantage of it, try to get a card with a higher amount of CUDA cores.

What about:

along with Intel 4790 or 4790K ??

So, finally i have ended up on:

i5 4790K
GigaByte Z97-D3H
WD 1TB Caviar
Samsung 120GB SSD EVO
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3
MSI TWIN FROZR GeForce GTX 750Ti
GameMax 9601-A Cabinet
Cooler Master: Thunder 600W PSU
AOC E2262 VWH
1000VA UPS

I guess a 600W PSU will be enough.
And will all these things be compatible??
