So sometime playing games or just surfing the web the display will just go into a random colored screen and i just have to hold the power until off and start it up again just to use and when doing regular stuff it flashes lines and goes away i just got the gpu from a sell second hand and yeah i cant return it but it isn't registered to xfx so im thinking of sending it in soon to be fix and one of the fans on it is alot slower . What could be the problem i don't think is Overheating since the temps never go above 70c and is there anyway i can fix it ? and do you think xfx could fix it if in warranty and never been Overclocked or anything

My RIG

Mobo- Asrock h97pro

Ram- 8 gigs

Cpu- Intel i5 4690k

How did you end up? Having the same issue with a r9 270x in a friend's computer at the moment and have hit a dead end. It seems as though the computer will crash numerous times in an hour doing mundane things, then will suddenly run fine after a restart doing something intensive like FurMark or something. I've tested my PSU with a multimeter and all results were on target, so I have ruled that out (unless it's failing under load which I also doubt as FurMark would surely pick that up and crash). I'm thinking it's got to be the GPU, even though it's going through stress testing. I tried it in another PCI-E slot and still had a crash, so that would seemingly rule out motherboard, plus I've compiled several RAM tests and they passed all with flying colours. I also reseated the RAM and CPU just in case.

Cheers in advance for any reply.
