Looking for an affordable good mobile cpu

I tried finding a mobile CPU for a laptop I am planning to build, but they are either too weak or extremely expensive. At first I thought $500 for 3.7/4 GHz isn't bad, but then I found out there is a AMD desktop CPU 4.7 GHz for $220. So I tried looking for a 3.5-4 range CPU on AMD's website. What I found was a 3.6/2.7 GHz FX-9600p with no sellers(?).

My budget size is $1200 but if it's a bit above I can live with that, and GTX-970M (Or something as powerful) is a must.

Specs I would prefer:
16 GB ram
1 TB SSD
17in barebones

Probably the same as a desktop? I mean some people say they're going to 'make' a desktop so people can technically do the same by scratch or with a barebones laptop.

In general mobile CPUs are quite expensive. We need more information too. Have you chosen a barebones laptop yet? is it based off of AMD or Intel? The 4.7GHz AMD you're talking about must be FX 9590 that is super hot and still inferior to Intel's i5/i7s. A decent Quad-Core i7 Mobile CPU should out perform the 4.7GHz AMD CPU while also being much cooler.

For $1200 you could probably just buy a laptop with an i7 Quad-Core and a GTX 970M or 980M. Building it yourself may cost more IMO and harder too.

Yes and no, I am thinking of buying a used shell of a laptop that contains no to little parts (unlike the available barebones that are filled with components I would be replacing) but I have not gone around to finding one, would that be feasible though?

Can you link me, I am a bit busy this month and can't go around searching.

I wouldn't recommend trying to put a Laptop together from scratch. Laptop cases and motherboards are designed to work together specifically. At the minimum you would need a case and motherboard that was made for each other and CPU compatibility also depends on the motherboard, cooler, power adapter. If you're really building a laptop the best option is barebones that come with built with case, screen, motherboard. You would need to get RAM, CPU, HDD, and maybe GPU.

As for the laptops I took a brief look and with $1200 and under the best new GPU you're looking at is a GTX 965M. 970M laptops start selling around ~$1300.

If that laptop is without a GPU I think that's over priced laptop. Also the GPU isn't that overpriced. Mobile GPUs cost a crap load more than Desktop versions which is why people tend to not upgrade their gaming laptops or only the one with more cash in their pockets. Here are three custom built laptops from Xotic Two are below ~$1300 while one is above ~$1300. The prices are probably before shipping unless they have free shipping options but honestly they seem a better option than trying to build your own and paying more with little to no warranty covering your parts.

Actually no, the price I showed was after I added the GPU, those laptops are the same barebones but a manufacturer added the same parts but they tend to ask for more. I get better specs and the same or even better cost.

So my question stands, are there resellers of GPUs?

That sounds better then. Well these custom laptop builders sell video cards sometimes but usually you have to email or call them for availability and pricing if they do sell them. Also is Newegg out of your purchase options? They have GSkill 2x8GB 1866MHz for $150-155

Yeah I talked to some friends and it seems 2x8 and 500gb should be better. Thanks a lot!
