Hey guys,
I recently built my new rig... it's awesome.
I am running two Palit Jetstream GTX 970 in SLI, they need 2x 6pin-connectors each.
The PSU is a Corsair AX860i fully modular.
I connected them using a single power cable for each card, which has a 6pin-connector and a 6+2pin-connector. Like in the picture:
Everything is working fine... but:
I don't like how the cables bend and so for better cable management, here is my Question:
Can I reconnect the cables so that... each one power cables powers 1 connector for each card?
Meaning: I want to connect the 6pin from cable A to card A, the 6+2pin from cable A to card B.
Then the 6pin from cable B to card B and the 6+2pin from cable B to card A.
Is this safe to run? I just don't want to risk any shorts and the cards should be able to draw everthing they need. The PSU runs in single-rail mode btw.
THANK YOU for answering and helping me!
