Dilemma between AMD FX-8350 and intel i5 4460 for a gaming PC

I'm building a gaming PC and i have a few questions. Should i go for the fx-8350 or i5 4660? My first plan was this:
CPU: amd fx-8350
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
RAM: Kingston DDR3 HyperX Fury, 1866MHz, 8GB
power supply: Seasonic SS-620GM2 EVO, 620W, 80+ Bronze, Modular
graphis: Gigabyte GF GTX970 G1 GAMING, 4GB GDDR5
case: Zalman Z3 Plus
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB (7200 rpm, 64 MB cache, sata 3)

I'm not interested into getting a ssd yet (i know its great but its over my budget for now; gonna get it later)
After a little bit of researching i came across this video : [video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFqQdrs5wEU"] where it said the i5 is better for gaming. Now i want your opinion if i should get the i5 or stay with the fx-8350. And is there even a big difference between them in gaming (keeping in mind the gtx 970) ?
If you think i should get the i5, what mobo should i get?
And finally, is this system good or you think i could get a better one with the same money? I know there's much questions, but i could really use some help

i5 is way better that the fx 8350 for gaming on single threaded games (about 95% of them are single threaded). There isn't a huge difference, but the i5 is better. WHat is your budget for the motherboard? Gtx 670? You mean if you go with the 8350 you'll get a gtx 970 and if you go with the i5, the 670?
What is your total budget? Do you own any parts right now?

I dont really know what your asking here. do you already have a fx 8350 and a gtx 670? And your wondering if you should switch to intel and get a 970? im a little confused.

the 670 is a typographical error. i meant 970. for both of them i'm going with the gtx 970. I dont own any of the parts, and my budget is around 1100 $ (930€). And one more thing, im from a Europe country where the taxes are really high (25%) so the components are a little more expensive than in the US or other european countries. i don't have any of the above. as i said, my first plan were the listed components, and the question is should i go with the planned or to build a system with i5?

A i5 for sure will give you better overall performance as far as getting better for the same money not a clue since we don't know where your buying parts.

im from croatia. and the prices between the fx and i5 is about the same. the amd was a bit cheaper a few days ago but the price went higher and now its about the same

Ok, I think if parts are very expensive where you live, given you are in the EU, you could buy from germany, for instance.
The build looks fine. I would most definetly go with the i5. If you can get cheaper ram, do it, ram speed does not affect gaming much.

i was thinking about getting the parts from gemrany too, even from switzerland (i have some relatives there), but the problem is what if some of the components break. i'd have to send it there again and be without it at least for a month...

Right. It's your call. If the price difference is very big, I would buy from germany. Otherwise, I wouldn't.

I would pick the cheapest z97 motherboard which supports sli you can find in your country.
In the US, it's this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z97extreme3
You could also go with a z87 mobo, which would be about 20 dollars cheaper. Only problem is they won't support the next generation of cpus.
