Okay. I used to be an avid user and supporter of the, at the time, new version of Raptr that was great for PC gaming. I eventually got rid of it as it made many of my games (particularly Bethesda games very unstable). I had to install Catalyst Control Centre for a friend who runs an AMD APU. Along with it came a program called "AMD Gaming Evolved"; it was literally raptr.

I was curious, and still am, if it's the same program, did AMD buy Raptr? What's going on there, if anyone could shed some light I'd be very interested!

Thank you.

Solution
Gaming evolved is "powered" by raptr.
AMD and raptr are working together on it.

You can simply deselect the box that offers the gaming evolved app when you download CCC. It's useless bloatware, for me anyways.
