Hey so i saw a "Build Video" a couple of days ago and some key elements when doing a build he mentioned that you should have stand off screws like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811998139&cm_re=motherboard_standoff_screws-_-11-998-139-_-Product

Now, is this necessary or good practice only? I am trying to figure out before all my items get here it's not an expensive purchase but if i dont need them then so be it but if i do need them and it's better to use these to install the motherboard than ill get em....

Also i guess depending on your answer.... ill prob check on youtube but how do these work exactly? Quick tip would be awesome :p

Solution
Standoffs are absolutely necessary, but they come with the case.

What standoffs do is raise the motherboard off the case so that it doesn't touch the case as well as provide attachment points to the case.
