Hi guys, sorry to ask again regarding my rams, but i'm building this PC out of my own hard-worked money, and i really don't want to buy any incompatible parts.

My concern is simple: I bought this motherboard that has everything i need and i'm satisfied with it, but the ram sticks i chose are not on the "supported memory" list issued by Gigabyte.

GA-B85M-D2V

processor: i5 4590.

These are my ram sticks of choice: Mushkin 8GB 1600MHz CL7

problem is, they are nowhere on the memory support list (find it here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5016#dl )

Another issue is, the sticks need 1.65v to run at CL7, while the motherboard says it supports 1.5v.

Can i overclock the mobo's memory voltage up to 1.65v so i can use these sticks at their intended speed and latency?

Bottom line, will these sticks work at the intended performance with my motherboard, even if they are not on the manufacturer's support list?

Solution
The Memory Support List is not all-inclusive but provides examples of tested memory.

You need to [Enable] X.M.P. Profile 1 or 2 (Extreme Memory Profile) in the BIOS. You can also choose to set the Memory Clock, Dram Timings and DRAM voltage manually in the BIOS. The default DRAM Voltage is 1.5v but it can be changed. Either method will suffice.
