Alright, so I have a question (obviously), and it is, what is the best CPU for the GTX 760 UNDER $100. Preferably with no bottleneck what-so-ever. I was thinking of the Pentium G3258 but I'm pretty sure it would bottleneck the 760. Also, what would be the minimum power supply needed to run this. Thanks!

It needs to be LGA socket 1150

first off bottleneck is impossible to avoid. you will hit the bandwidth limit. I recommend the Pentium you were saying or an AMD Athlon x4 5350. it is a quad core processor with decent specs. the minimum power supply would be a 500 watt power supply.

Thanks everyone! Like I said, it has to be LGA 1150, so the fx-6350 or the Athlon wont work. What do you mean by bandwith, baconlover102? I don't understand. Which is really better? The Pentium (known for its overclockability) or the i3?

Go for the Intel Pentium G3258. Make sure it is the 20th anniversary one because that is the overclockable one.

I have one last question. Would the G3258 be overclockable on this board (its not a z-series motherboard, but it says "overclockable" on their website.) And if so, what speed should I expect on the stock cooler?

Board (Amazon)

I already have this board, so there is no changing it.

well don't overclock too much on that board, you don't want to overload and fry your vrms.
an i3-4150/4160 will give you a same performance with a g3258 overclocked to 4.4ghz but free from risks you get from overclocking.

Are you saying that the i3-4150 or 4160 running at STOCK speed will perform better than the pentium at OVERCLOCKED speeds? Can you explain how this is?

I think I'm going to go with the pentium, because it is cheaper and if it doesn't work out well, I'll upgrade to an i5 when I get more money. Thanks for all of your answers!:pt1cable:
