I need help picking a good CPU cooler. What kind would I need to get so I can clock upwards of 4.7ghz also I'm on a tight budget? Is the fx6300 capable of doing this,is my mobo good enough to handle overclocking? In the BIOS there is a setting called CPU unlock and it's disabled do I enable this to overclock? Also what do I need enabled and disabled to get a stable overclock? Can anyone link to any helpful guides for a beginner? And if anyone has the same setup can you put the setting you have? thanks a lot for helping me this is a great community I really appreciate it all

Okay then you'll be happy to know that with that 750ti you dont need to be near 4.7 to achieve a nice system baalance, in fact, with a 750ti you probably wont notice any bottleneck at stock settings. if you had a beefier card like a 970 I would recommend a clock of like 4.3-4.5 to keep up with the 970. but for you, a decent after market cooler will be nice to keep noise and temps down, but you dont have to go overboard. I really dont recommend pushing the processor at all since it can boost clock to 4.0 and with a decent cooler it will run at boost clock the whole time you game and still be covered under warranty.

As for the questions you asked in original post, Your MOBO can handle OC'ing, the FX can handle a 4.7 OC and a 30-40$...

As for guides, honestly idk, but just search beginners guide to overclocking on AMD FX and you can find really simply "for dumbies" and advanced ones that will teach you everything.
