I'm trying to do a non OEM install of Windows 8 on a Lenovo T-440 (http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/t-series/t440/) because my client didn't want any of the bloatware that comes with the OEM. It has a SSD and a normal HDD. When installing I chose to install the OS on the SDD, but when it loaded it did not recognize the other HDD, and the SDD drive was full. How do I correct this?

Solution
Disconnect all other drives.

When you start the install, when it asks you 'where', select Advanced.
You'll probably have to delete all the existing partitions on the SSD, and proceed from there.

I did this just last week on a friends laptop.
