I am building new computer and I was thinking about using SSD to install windows 7 on it, but i don`t want to buy lardge SSD, because they are expensive. i want to buy 64 - 128 GB SSD.
So the question.
Can I install windows on SSD, but keep all programs on HHD.(for example windows is on disk C:, but program files are on disk F: )
I hope you understand my question.

Solution
Yes you can. When you install a program or game, choose a custom install. That way you can pick the location to install too. In this case, your HDD.

A 120/128GB SSD can hold the OS and more applications than you might think.

I have one - Kingston HyperX 3k, 120GB, 2.5 yrs old.
Windows 8.1 Pro, MS Office, Adobe Lightroom, Corel Video Studio, etc, etc, etc.
Currently ~70GB used space.

As above, just select what drive you want a particular application to install on.

Overall though...a 120GB SSD minimum. A 64GB will be more hassle than it is worth.
