Hi
I've had a recurring probpem for about 2 weeks now. After 20 minutes of turning on my PC it completely shuts down and won't reboot until the power supply is turned on and off or the power Is removed from the motherboard.

Wierdly this problem doesn't occur when using integrated graphics, and only happens while playing games.

I've tried many things including reinstalling GPU drivers, resetting CMOS replacing and replugging all wires.

Getting really frustrated with this problem now, first answer to correctly identify the problem will get £10!

Solution
Temps are fine, the GPU is stable at 60 about them minutes before crash, CPU about 50 also stable, have run stress tests on cpu at 100% its heated up to about 57 but hasnt shut off. Will look into the PSU thanks for the advice! :)

I'm running-
I5 4670k at stock speeds
GB z87 d3hp mobo
8gb corsair RAM 1600mhz
MSI r9 280x tf
120gb ssd
1tb HDD
Windows 8.1

All about 8 months new, would it actually be possible for the power supply to break that quickly?

You left off the power supply, case , is the CPU cooler the stock one?

I would first check your temperatures when gaming HWmonitor will do the processor and you can use CCC for the video card.
That is a very low quality power supply and is the probable cause of the problem, but check your temps first while gaming.
Low quality power supply and a little under powered for what you have.
