One Question - Anything better than the CM Hyper 212 Evo?

Just as it says in the title, is there any budget cpu coolers out there that perform better than the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo for around the same price?

Not for the same price, no. But if you do not overclock, you don't need anything better. You might want something quieter. In that case, I recommend something from Noctua or getting the evo and upgrading the fan to a noctua (I've got the evo and I will do that)

This cooler does not provide better cooling, outlander. It's quieter at the cost of performance.

The 212 is plenty for an i5. I run the older 212 plus on my 3570k.

The xigmatek usually sells for closer to $45 not $30 . Its a class above the hyper 212 which is decent but cheaply built

The xigmatek is a clear winner compared to the hyper 212

But you are right about it being quieter

My bad, op. If it's the same price, get the xigmatek. I assumed it was more expensive.
