Good day people. Well, i have a problem with my new processor. I disable BIOS options in order to limit the frequency of the processor and not to raise 4.0ghz.

I put thermal paste on the processor to lower temperatures. Temperatures in charge down, but temp in idle didn't changed

I apply the thermal paste Arctic MX-4. I use stock cooler (I dont have money in this moment to buy WC)

I take a screenshot with CoreTemp and Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool.

In 100% of charge, the temps didn't exceed 60º, but at idle are 50º - 46º

Thanks for the help. Regards

I am not familiar with normal temps of the 4790K... but how's your fan configuration in your case? does it have good airflow?... intake fans and outtake fans?. Stagnant hot air could mess with the best air cooler.

I have 2 fans, the airflow is good (not excellent but good).

- Rear Fan -> Exhaust
- Top Fan -> Exhaust

Now i don't have a side window because i always check the hardware.

I have a 4790k the stock cooler sucks for that cpu, I ended up swapping it out for a hyper 212 plus then later i finally got my cooler master nepton 280l. great cpu horrible heat that is built up with stock cooler. order the coolermaster hyper 212 of any variance and it will help lots
