Hello, so I have a 120gb ssd and basically i've used about 60gb of space (checked on multiple programs) but windows is saying i've used 90/112 gb... that's way more than I have used, so where is the rest of it?
Depending on the amount of ram you have, you could disable the page file as well as hibernation. Not that this is sorting your problem, you it would frr up some space. Download ccleaner and let it do it's thing...more space. Check max size of system restore as well.

Install WinDirStat. See what is happening
And see how much is used for Restore Points.

In WinDirStat, that 67.7GB is the used space it is reporting.
But WindirStat will not read anything in System Volume Information, which is were the System Restore files live.

This problem is almost always caused by too many restore points.
Control Panel -> System -> System Protection -> Configure
Your disk space allocated to restore points is probably set to some stupid value like 50% (which seems to be Windows' default). Lower it to a more sane value like 5 GB.

Actually, don't disable the page file completely.
Reduce it to 1GB or so, but don't turn it off. Some applications and Windows functions may choke.
