Do i do certain upgrades or buy a new system ??

These are my current specs - please advise if I should upgrade certain aspects or just buy a new PC:

HAF COOLMASTER 932 CASE
ASUS P6T MOTHERBOARD I7 X58/DDR3
EVGA CLASSIDIED GEFORCE GTX56 TI 448 CORES GRAPHICS CARD
HITACHI 1TB 16MB SATA-2 HARD DRIVE
INTEL CORE I7 940 BOX (2.93/8/4.8GT)
16MB CORSAIR PLATINUM 1333 MHZ

That CPU is still very good, OC it and it will keep up with modern ones.

That GPU however is already very weak for current games, I'd say get a new one (possibly a new PSU as well to handle the new GPU) and an aftermarket cooler for your CPU so you can OC it.

Depending on your budget aim at least for an AMD R9 270x / Nvidia GTX 770 to get a really nice boost in your system's performance.
