I have built my pc and and here are the components
Graphics Card: Amd Radeon Graphics Card R9 270x
Ram: 7 gb
Cpu: Dual Core Pentium Processor 2.60Ghz
Os:Windows 8.1 64 bit
I have played dayz Standalone and Arma 2 and they both give me like 18 fps and sometimes 9 fps when in big places its really ticking me off because ive put alot of effort in this computer and its all been for a computer that can barley run Arma2 Dayz Epoch. If it is the processor please tell me what processor i should look into because i plan on playing arma 3 to somewhere in the 250$ to 100$ range.Ive been looking at i5. Thanks!:)

Solution
i'm a server admin of a popular Arma 3 life server and regulrly play Day Z

I would recommend a 4460 or a 4690k (if you want to overclock) CPU

Keep you GPU - it is more than capable of playing DayZ/Arma @ High @ 1080

your FPS is highly determined online by the server and your CPU, especially DayZ - Cherno kills any top end PC !

very much it is.

i dunno bout arma they say even if you use a top end system it will still run slow due to its bad coding

have you checked 1st if you have the necessary drivers for your system? especially your gpu?
dayz should run well on tha 270x even with a low end dual core.

yes you are.

what is your motherboard and powersupply(watts)? and their brands. i gotta ask because your gpu is severely being bottleneck.

you need to change that motherboard, as the new gen i5 wont work on that because the sockets are different. for the i5 you needs socket lga 1150

it is more than good. the r9 270x would probably bottleneck that processor ahha.

if you plan on buying that then great it is more than enough for new games today and probably would last you 4 more years.
