Mic Not Working But Sound is Fine..

Hi,

I have this really old headset with a mic. i can hear sounds but it wont register and input from the mic. sometimes there's crackling if i mess around in realtek Hd Audio Manager. i tried re-installing drivers but that didn't fix. i have enabled the mic in control panel as well so im not sure what the problem is.

ive tried with other pc's and it works fine on them.

My headphone has two jacks (green/pink)

My motherboard is MSI 970 gaming.

right click on the sound icon and click playback devices, then go to recording tab and see if it is connected.
if you plugged your mic at front panel, try it at rear panel maybe slot problem

The control Panel recognises it and mic is enabled. nothing is muted

ive tried both front and rear and neither of them work.

Just wanted to say problem is fixed. i was messing around in the settings for Realtek HD audio manager, and it turns out playback volume was unmuted for the mic. thanks anyways.
