1tb msata not recognized with with usb

hello everyone ..... i bought 2 samsung msata evo 840 ssd-s ... 500 gb and 1 tb .... i have an Apricorn mSATA wire (msata to usb) and a Kingwin sata to usb with an msata to sata converter ..... my 2014 13" macbook recognizez the 500 gb ssd in both "converters" .... but the 1tb one does nothing when connected ..... may it be to power hungry ? i mean does higher storage space = need for more voltage ? both ssd are brand new . Please point me somewhere

i just remembered .... i did put in the 1tb one in a ZOTAC raidbox ....alone .... not 2 of them .... to see if i can use it as an msata to usb .... it did not work .... is there a chance i could have killed the ssd myself doing that ?
