Hi, i need a help and i have a question.

Is there any point to upgrade from Asus HD 6950 to MSI gtx 760 or upcoming gtx 960? Will see i performance difference between them? Maybe there will be a waste of money? I have fx-6300 4Ghz, 6 GB ram. Thanks for help!

R9 280 performs slightly better than a GTX 760 but not by much.

I'd wait for the GTX 960 to be released , if that doesn't meet your expectations then maybe a R9 290 would do.

The R9 280 is definitely better than a radeon 6950 but it's only about 25% increase.
I'd recommend waiting for the 960 if those are your only two options. The 760 is an upgrade but It's not quite significant enough of one for me to endorse.

A 770 or even a 670 would be a noticeable upgrade, as would something around an HD 280, 285, 280x.

Your CPU is plenty for any of those cards.

cheers!

To 760 , you won't see much performance difference as the difference is about 20-22% relative to a R9 270X ( Which in most cases nowadays is on par with the 760) .

Maybe wait for the GTX 960 to see a major difference however as things stand I wouldn't recommend it :)

Performance is almost doubled. I'd say it is worth it.
This is just one benchmark so real world performance performance will be different in different games /apps.
But as a quick comparison works fine for me.
BUT.
With GTX 960 coming later this month with some chance of 20nm process. I'd wait to see the first benchmarks and efect on prices and decide then.
