Hi guys, this is my first post so apologies if i miss anything essential out.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L850-1D5 and i decided to replace the internal hard drive in the laptop. I wanted to start from complete fresh with no data carrying on to the new hard drive so I only backed up my music and important documents.

I have managed to get the laptop in working order by downloading all the essential drivers but i have come across the problem that I have now lost all my default Toshiba applications. I cannot go and retrieve them off my old hard drive as i have destroyed it already.

If anyone can help me out get the default toshiba applications back then it would be highly appreciated

If you made a recovery disk off a different model it will restore the full operating system and your computer will likely not boot.

There may be something available from Toshiba aside from the drivers, if that is all you can see you can contact them for help.

There is probably nothing those programs do that is needed to run the system, you can easily find replacements for utilities.

I can only see the drivers. I cant see any sign of the default software. A family member have a toshiba laptop as well but its not the same model. Do you think if i made a toshiba recovery disk off their laptop then it would work to restore the applications in mine? even though it is a different model
