Hi.
I've replaced my hdd with an ssd and put hdd into the optibay. The problem is that now it spins down really fast, takes ~10 seconds. Windows power management doesn't work. Software that checks a file on hdd every X minutes doesn't work. The only thing that worked was drive power manager, trial is over and it's 35 usd (too much for one option?!). Is there any kind of software that helps hdd from spinning down? Thanks a ton.

Thanks for replying.
I had it set to 20 minutes. Tried going down to 0, didn't help. Now it's back at 20.

About wdidle3.exe, on wd's site it listed few supported disks and had a warning: "WD1000FYPS-01ZKB0, WD7500AYPS-01ZKB0, WD7501AYPS-01ZKB0.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to run this software on any hard drives other than what is listed above."
Mine is WD10JPVX-08JC3T5. Had to pass that one.
So I've got quiethdd, here's some info. http://imgur.com/pbFD9uz
I think APM is already disabled with the value of 255. Maybe it only reads ssd's info? I'm kind of lost here.

UPDATE:
Ok, I thoroughly played with quiethdd and finally found how to disable apm, even tho in CMD it said 255(disabled). Just had to go into the GUI of the program and uncheck apm. Thank you.
