I recently bought a broken Dell 1315-PP25L laptop that I have repaired, but now I need to get Windows 7 setup. Windows 7 was installed on the system, but was so messed up by the previous owner that if I tried running a program, the program would ask me to open it in another program.
I have deleted the OS partition, but have left the small utility partition (Around 40MB) and the restore partition (Around 15GB). Before deleting said partition, I tried to access the restore partition through the function keys, but never saw an option to restore my laptop.
I was wondering how I can access this partition. I have tried Hiren's BootCD 15.2 to access it through the standard boot options when scrolling down the main menu. I have also tried using the Parted Magic utility to copy the partition to the cleaned OS partition, and have also tried to burn an ISO of the partition, but I either get a message that the files are too big to burn, or the image file won't show up when searching for it with the ISO burning program in Parted Magic.
(Example of what the OS that was installed did)
(Partitions shown in Parted Magic)
(Files in restore partition)
