Hi,
I bought a zotac gtx 970 and noticed it needs two 6 pin PCI-e connectors. They provided two separate 6 pin connectors.

My question:
I have the cable I used in my last card which has 8 wires, starts as one strip of wires then towards the end splits into two 6+2 PCIe connectors.Does that work? Can I use this? Or so I need two seepage independent cables

Solution
I see, that is entirely fine as well. The cables carry enough wattage to handle multiple connectors on one strand.
I used both a 6 pin and 8 pin on one cable for my 760 for months.

The card requires two six pin connectors. I'm saying my cable splits into two six pin connectors. I'm just curious if it's sufficent to plug those two Into the card even though they originally start as one cable coming from the PCU
