In my current case (nzxt s340) i can fit a slim 280/240 rad, a thick 120 and a thin 140, and im wondering if this would be enough to cool sli gtx 980s and a 4790k with good overclocks/volts on the graphics cards. im willing to mod the case to fit more fans or another rad in.

Solution
GTX 980 TDP stock= 165w (x2) = 330w
4790 TDP stock = 84w, OC ....depends on OC and voltages...estimate at least ~150-165w?

Total guesstimate... 495watts to cool; around 420-450 if you factor in load TDP isn't exactly 1:1...so maybe 85-90% watt-to-heat conversion efficiency. . Now you need to determine A) exactly what TDP your OC CPU will run at 100% load (to correctly eval your loop TDP) and, B) determine what radiators you need based on cooling performance (delta-T) of your loop components...rads, pump/flow rate, fans/airflow.
