How much is my GTX 560Ti worth? Also, what would be a good alternative?

Hi,

I'm helping my friend build a PC and I'm planning to sell to him my GPU. It was bought around mid-late 2012 for approx $250 AUD. It's a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 560Ti and I want to ask how much it would be. Not heavily used and in good condition.

Also, riding off this thread, what card would be a good pick if he wants to upgrade in the future? Possibly the GTX 970? However GTX 970s cost a ton in Australia, going up to as much as $570. Will they drop?

It depends upon the GPU pricing around your place. Check GTX 750 Ti prices and give 560 Ti at half price of 750 Ti as they perform closely.
Secondly, GTX 970 would be a worthy upgrade from 560 Ti and yes, the prices will drop in future as new technology pours in.

Ok thanks. Average pricing of 750Ti in Australia is around 200, I'll give it to him for $100.

Will it drop in the next few weeks? I heard somewhere a new line of GPU's are coming out.
