need help upgrading my pc

Hi, i just received a gaming pc from a friend and i would like to upgrade it and would really appreciate your help guys, the pc has the cooler master case, i7-2600. radeon 6000 series, so i want to upgrade the following:
.GPU
.CPU
.motherboard
.powersupply
.cooler

thanks alot and my budget is 1000

There is no point upgrading from an i7 2nd gen to 4th gen as performance gains would be minimal in games. Still if you want to upgrade, go for a Z97 motherboard along with an unlocked K series CPU for overclocking headroom and a decent CPU cooler like H100i. The main thing that will affect performance is GPU upgrade. Go for a GTX 970 as it is perfect for Full HD gaming. Go with Seasonic 1000W Platinum PSU if you can so that you have an upgrade headroom if you wish to upgrade to 970 SLI in future.
