How good is the chance of my Cooler Master Elite 400W PSU to fail/damage my PC components?

My PC specs are:
Intel Core i5-3570K (not overclocking for now, so always on stock speeds) (CPU)
Asus GTX 750 Ti 2GB (not overclocked, not overclocking it) (GPU)
Asus P8B75-M LX (MOBO)
8GB RAM DDR3 1333MHz (2x4 GB)
Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB (HDD)
Samsung 840 Evo 120GB (SSD)
LG GH24NS90 (CD/DVD drive)

  1. The 750 Ti needs a minimum of 300W support; you should be fine running those specs on a reliable 400W psu. Cooler Master power supplies aren't the most reliable or best. The capacitors generally last ~2 years according to most reviews. When any power supply fails, there is a chance components will be damaged.

    Does it count if my Asus Mobo has Anti-Surge protection ? Would that help the components if anything happens ?

  4. i would up the wattage 300 for the 750 gpu, 77watts for i5 ,plus fans an other components. an of course if your gonna overclock in future i'd option for good 650 psu allowing for leaway
