Hello Everyone!
I have been a reader of Tom's Hardware for years but now have found a need to join the forum.
I searched the forum earlier, but could not find an answer either here, nor on the internet to my specific situation. So here goes..., :)
I have a beloved old Emachines T5246 that needs the motherboard replaced. I was wanting to upgrade somewhat if possible. I know the machine is older, and I cannot find out what board, if there is one available, that will work with my existing factory components.
I have searched for a couple of days now and I just have not been able to find the information that I am looking for. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and a Happy New Year to All.

A quick ebay search found a motherboard on sale for $19 that will fit your emachine. Simply search ebay for an emachine T5246. I would certainly not spend much more than that. This was an inexpensive PC when bought new, and its becoming quite dated, but if it still gets the job done for you, that is about the only place you will find a board for it. I will include the link I found......

Thank You for such a quick response. Wow! I installed a graphics card and soundblaster a while back. I also boosted the power supply to 450 watts. Your right, it's outdated now but gets the job done on a shoestring budget. I just did not want to throw the children out with the Mother. No one sees the old beater outside once your in the theatre, and it's the same show the Limo's are going to! $19? Heavy butter on the popcorn please!
