Hello everyone,

A friend of mine lives a few hours driving away, and I'm visiting her the 24th.
However, she tries to remove the cpu cooler on her own and I can't see the reason why the cpu cooler can't be deattached by the pictures she's sending me.

The backplate behind the motherboard has succesfully been removed, and so have the screws.

Why is the silver block mounted on the motherboard not loose to remove yet? She says that she can't even get it off by pulling a little, so it's stuck.

Thanks!

The pc is custom build and she bought it second hand, and she doesn't know what cpu cooler it is. Neither do I.

Thanks!

The black screws on the picture have already been removed, so keep that in mind :)

Hello... Yes your Themal paste could be dried out, twisting / turning can release the CPU Heatsink, IF the strap is removed... Did she get the strap removed? it is a spring loaded design and will take a bit of effort too release it.

Thank you! It was indeed a little bit hard and dry, everything was removed and she pulled a little bit harder while twisting and it came off.
Thank you very much!
