Hello. I'm not sure if this is in the right thread but I am having an issue with my Acer Aspire Laptop. Recently when I am doing multiple tasks at once (for example updating my machine, scanning with Norton, and looking at youtube) The computer will freeze for about 1-3 minutes however I can hear the audio from the video still playing at a snails pace. Then it will unfreeze and the video will speed up to meet the audio. Then everything is fine....until it happens again. This is the third time something like this has happened. It is about 7 years old. It has a 2.0 dual core intel processor and 4 GB of RAM. I recently had to replace the keyboard as well. What might this be a symptom of? I know its older and I'm sure new machines are alot better, but if I can prolong it a bit it would be a help. Thank you in advance!!

Hmm. I do have something called speed fan. I can check to temps that way. I does get pretty hot. I bought a base with fans on it for that reason many moons ago. No idea if it actually does anything.
