Based on your experience, what GPU brand is better for a gamer who renders video in 1080p, 1440p and 1600p? (AMD or Nvidia)

I know Nvidia is really good in this area (which is why I bought a GTX 970) but what technology does AMD have for going beyond gaming? (I would prefer PC veterans to answer this)

There is no difference whatsoever. I have been building pc's for 20 years and while both battle for the top position as they introduce new graphic chips, either one will work excellent. I have used videocards from both manufacturers and can't really complain about either.
