So I had a GTX 660 and my drivers kept crashing etc.. nvldmm errors.. and my game woul d crash and strange noises would come out of my speakers. I then RMA and got a new GTX 660 (probably wasn't brand new but anyway).
After installing the RMA gtx 660 it was fine and wasnt happening anymore!
Until! I linked up a second monitor!
it only happens sometimes but when it does IT IS ALWAYS!! WHEN playing a game. so just playing arma 3 my game slows down and starts making some strange noises coming through to my headset.. like staticy weird sounds.. and this comes up in event viewer.
The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\Video3
Graphics Exception: ESR 0x404000=0x80000002
and stuff like that.
IT was FINE until I linked up my other monitor..
do you think its too much strain on this GPU or what?
i did memtest when my other gpu was having this issue before i RMA (it was defective), hard disk checked etc.. everything was fine..
so what do you think it is
