Hi Toms Hadrware! I want to ask something... unusual i hope :D So, if you're programming video games, is there a lot Maths? I'm definitely sure about Physics, if you're working on 3D Game. But I'm not best from Maths, but I still want to make games. So are there a lot of maths?

rgd1101 makes a good point. If you want to create a game using an existing engine then you just have to learn how the engine works and some scripting. If you want to create the game from scratch then you will need all the maths and physics.

With todays technology i doubt there is huge amount of math tasks to do when you making a video game, I belive todays programs do the math for you.
But yes i would belive you would have to do write some lines to do this and that, but im not sure, im not a video game maker. Im the one who play them :D

Here is a page that show you some examples on how math is used in making video games:

Here is the conclusion from the page:

I've shown you quite a few examples of where maths is used in making computer games, there are many, many more examples. In fact, it is almost impossible to make any game without using maths, even Pacman uses some maths (although it is quite easy maths compared with the hard stuff in this article).
