hi the last year i bought an usb 3.0 connector via pcie x1 to connect the usb 3.0 ports on my enermax ivektor cases, i bought this cuz i have an old mobo with only usb 2.0 ports now as i am gonna upgrade to 1150 mobo with Haswell-R processor, im trying to detach the 20pin port from the adapter to conect it to the new mobo, but it will not move without leaving the pins exposed... the question is how do i remove this properly?

yes sometime they are not easy to remove ( bad design )
you need to still pull out ..but at the same time hold the mobo to prevent plying
you can see here a little plastic tab
