I'm running windows 7 64bit, I've looked up many fixes on line. I'm pretty sure I enabled UEFI in my bios, although I couldn't find any tutorials so I just went with what seemed right. The hard drive is GPT not MBR, I've reinstalled it twice and repeated the steps to no avail.
The problem is, once the hard drive has been installed the warranty is void so I can't send it back. I'm considering just giving up and updating to windows 8.1 or 10 at this point so the whole 3TB will actually be recognised.
