Hi to all, I'm new to the forum and to building a PC. I'm no stranger to PC's, but I've never built one before, just been one of those guy's that would waste money on the ones right off the shelf. I wanted to post up the parts list on here and see what everyone thinks and if i should set it up any differently. The parts are as follows,

- Antec Nine Hundred (Mid) tower
- Corsair CX750 power supply
- Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H Intel Z87 LGA 1150 ATX Motherboard
- Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz 4th Generation LGA 1150 Processor
- Scythe Shuriken Rev B. CPU cooler
- Crucial 4GB DDR3 1600 MTs Ram x 2
- MSI GeForce GT 730 2GB 2GB DDR3 128-bit video card (out of my self bought for now, will be upgrading soon)
- Asus CD/DVD drive (out of my shelf bought, don't burn or watch videos much except for streaming)
- Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SATA 3 internal SSD
- Western Digital 2 TB SATA 3 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache HDD
- BitFenix Recon fan controller
- Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit

Solution
If you are getting the 4790k, you need to get a z97 chipset motherboard. The z87 are not compatible without a bios update (and without a CPU, that will not happen). And the video card may not be necessary at all. The intel chips have pretty good quality video coming out. You may want to not get that GPU all together.

Good luck =)
for gaming a faster card is needed than GT 730. i5 4590 is enough for gaming

This is not a (budget) build, just tired of my slow HP. It overheats the CPU and I've had it for a while now so... I was going to get the Intel Core i7-4790K LGA1150 4GHz as you stated above, but wanted to ask before I buy it tomorrow. As for the GPU it's only temporary, I'll be dropping at least $350 on one here soon. This will be an "every now and again" gaming PC.
