Hello I have i5-4690k. I was running it at 4.2 with voltage at 1.15/ I was running prime95 for about 2 hours before it failed. I just want to know what it failed from. I assume i am going to need more voltage, but i couldn't find an error for exactly what it was.

Most of us just leave it at that, prime95 showed your cpu isn't stable at that frequency with that voltage. Since your only at 4.2 1.15 volts, you have headroom in the voltage. I don't know if you can find out exactly the error.

That's very low for 4.2ghz, you have up to 1.275 (if on air) for overclocking.
Up it to 1.2v and try it.
