LAN and permissions - why must I adopt these children all the time?

I'm not exactly sure where to ask this or how to Google it accurately. Perhaps someone can help me.

I am doing something wrong.

I have a wired LAN with all Win 7 machines (3 of them). I have several shared folders that I set up with limited access using the Everyone account. This way, the 2 computers accessing the shared drives cannot accidentally delete or modify any files or folders. The other computers have the shared folders set up as mapped drives. This all works well with no problems.

My problem arises when I add new files to the shared folders. I have discovered the only way to have them show up on the other computers is to open Properties on the main computer, change permissions, including the "replace all child object permissions" option.

I'd like to no longer need to do this. Is there a way to set this state permanently?

Solution
Right click on the parent shared folder(s). Click Properties > Security (tab) > Advanced (button). Under the Permissions tab, (should be selected by default) make sure Enable Inheritance button is clicked.

This will make all child folders inherit parent security settings.
