I have now on my pc
Processor: Dual core Pentium processor
Graphics Card: Amd r9 270x
Os:Windows 8.1 64 bit
Ram: 7 gb four slots
wattage:500
and some really old motherboard that i want to change. And My processor to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113285 will these two things be compatible with each other on my computer in every way possible? If not please state why.

The CPU and motherboard listed are compatible, and you should be okay power-wise. My one concern is RAM: if you've got older modules (DDR2, for example,) you'll need to replace that. Also, be aware that you'll have to re-install your OS to accommodate the new hardware configuration, so backing up your data is a good idea.

Since that CPU includes a cooler it should have thermal paste as well, and though buying aftermarket paste might improve your temps marginally, I'd say it's not necessarily worth it unless you get a better cooler as well.

Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and click the "Performance" tab. The "Memory" tab should list the total quantity and type of RAM in the upper-right corner. If it says "7.0 GB DDR3," you're good to go.
