it goes down what seems like randomly once a week, i have to try and unplug and everything and plug it back it, and still no connection. calling the representatives is useless and they always try to send someone but never on the same day when the problem persists. by the time the appointment for the tech arrives, the internet is back up... why??>!

TBH, I think its Time Warner themselves. With them being one of the largest ISP's in this country, they feel they can supply a subpar service for a cost that is not worth paying for what you actually get. *shurgs* Every time I think of that damn company I get a thought of my uncle and I hate my uncle. Him and his job at Time Warner go hand in hand. Anyways, I still believe its them. Same deal with Comcast. With them controlling so much of the market, they feel they can get away with this. Hope Wheeler makes the right decision and goes for the Title II reclassification.

I don't see a reason to bring up TA1996 here because it really doesn't help OP solve his problem. I only brought up Title II because it looks like it will be reformed to classify ISP's as common carriers which should put an end to price gouging for shitty service. Anyways OP, I still wouldn't be surprised if it is their service in your area as I know that Wave Cable where I live will go down sometimes, but not once a week. Are their any other carriers in your area for cable?

any resolution? We have also just moved to a TWC or ATT universe, and TEC seems to be out several random hours a day. We've gotten nowhere with customer service.
