What's the difference between these two cards?

Solution
Both of those cards support gsync.

The main difference is in the overclock of the cards. The G1 is overclocked higher than the other. I believe the G1 also has an extra heatpipe for the VRMs. I'd say it is worth the $20. It's a 5fps increase or so compared with a stock 970.

i have never used it myself so can't say for sure. i believe it simply locks the fps at a set rate to prevent as many stuttering issues as it can, but i would not quote me on that :) i do know the monitor also has to be gsync for it to work. so if you do not have the monitor, then the extra is not worth it.

not sure how i missed the clock speed. i stand corrected and clearly it is time for me to go to bed.

my apologies for the misinformation. looking again and the clock speed difference jumps right out at me :(

so in conclusion, what they said and not what i said :)
