revert windows 10 to windows 8.1

I just tried the windows 10 technical preview and some of my software doesn't work. I was hoping that i can return to windows 8.1. Ive created a restore point but it also disappeared. Anyone have an idea?

yep reinstall is all you can do. win 10 tec preview isnt meant to be a primary o.s so should only be installed on a secondary partition and used as dual boot.

you are Misleading people, tou can actually go back to the previous version of windows without loosing anything!
do the following:
start-->settings
then go to Update & Recovery.
on the right pane menu click on Recovery.
scroll down and search for "Go back to a previous version of Windows".
keep in mind that this process can take a few hours.

I tried your suggestion below, but I don't see "Go back to a previous...". My only option is "Restart". Any ideas why?
