I have a large velum printer and a ioline vinyl cutter that I would like to put in a different room from my computer. They both have the ethernet plugs. I need to find out what I need to purchase to make this work.
I have been told to buy a wireless print server from one store, a networking server from another. Can someone help me? I am not that computer savvy and I really dont want to buuy something I dont need.

Solution

A print server would only be needed if the printer required a USB connection (or the now largely obsolete parallel printer port).

Since your printers are network enabled (Ethernet), you'll need a wireless bridge. I've used a couple of Trendnet devices that work well, but there are many others available...

Edit: If both printers will be located in one location, make sure the wireless bridge you select has multiple ports.
