AMD Catalyst detects hd 8670m as 8600m

Hi I'll be very grateful if someone can help me with this.
so i accidentally deleted some files and catalyst control center stopped working,i re-installed drivers from amd and it turned out the amd graphics card i have is discrete and only updates correctly from the dell drivers, so my card is now detected as 8600m and catalyst control center won't start(keeps crashing at start)
my question is will it effect performance and if so how can i completely remove the drivers i got from amd including catalyst control center (tried to uninstall them and re-install the ones from dell but still the same two errors)

Do you know if your laptop was displaying 8670m before all this? I'm pretty sure any AMD GPU gets listed like that. I have a 7970 in my system, and it always shows as 7000 series. The main concern, though, is the fact that CCC won't start.

Either way, here's what I want you to do:

1. Uninstall the AMD graphics drivers from Programs & Features.
2. Download and run Display Driver Uninstaller to be sure that the drivers are completely gone.
3. Download and do a clean install of the latest, stable graphics drivers from Dell.

By the way, what is the model of your Dell?

yes the driver is now detected as 8670m but all the software included in the driver package failed to install(including ccc)
it keeps showing "install package failure" a bit after the installation starts i tried installing the new drivers from amd again using the auto detect utility but same error keeps showing
