I am having NETGEAR 3100M N300 usb wifi adapter but not having wifi router with my PC which is having wired broadband connection for internet...Is it possible to make usb wifi adapter to access other wifi devices like smartphones, wifi printer, etc., without wifi router in PC..? I tried some methods like creating adhoc network; bridging LAN and wifi adapter; creating microsoft virtual wifi adapter. All these things NO USE at all even the usb wifi adapter does not recognise any of wifi devices...!
Any help will be appreciated and with advance thanks....!

Solution
Google "Virtual Router" -- There are a number of software packages, both open-source and commercial, that will allow you to use the PC WIFI like a router to share your wired connection.

Hi, thanks so much....one mini, free application "mHotSpot" version 7.7.2.0 (latest version) fixed my problems...Now by using this application I can connect my smartphone with my PC via NetGear USB 3100M N300 mini adapter and transfer files from Mobile to PC... It "mHotSpot" is more fine than any Virtual Router....!!:))
Another supporting free application for this task is "Filedrop" which shall be installed both in PC (windows version) and in Smartphone (.apk version)

How ever, my Epson Printer L355 wifi enabled coudn't be interacted with wifi adapter since it can't work both on ad-hoc network and on InfraStructure Network...any solution for this...??

Again Thanks to kanewolf
