I'm building my first computer and after putting everything in the light comes on for RAM error. We try all the RAM we have, even get new RAM, making sure it's on the supported RAM list, and still nothing. We get a new motherboard (different brand), try all the RAM, same error. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this to happen? We're thinking it's the PSU. Has anyone encountered anything like this before?

Sorry I can't post all of my specs right now, will update later.

1st Mobo: Asus P8P67
Processor: i5-3570
PSU: Not sure of the brand, it's 600 watts though
Video Card: GTX 650 ti
2nd Mobo: More info later

Might also be a CPU with a weak MC (memory controller) or bad CPU - if I read right you've tried different DRAM and different mobo. Could try raising the the MC voltage a tad think on your mobo it's incorporated into the system agent voltage (the VCCSA voltage), try taking it up + 0.05 higher than the current setting

Awesome, here's a link on how to do that if anyone else stumbles on this thread in the future: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V67YRlsBEoY

Now are you sure this is the issue? We even tried a new motherboard. Seems weird that two mobos would have the same BIOS issue. The new mobo wasn't the ASUS P8P67.
