Ok guys, let's clear this up very quick. I am a Very paranoid person, and I'd like opinions on this.

I have an Asus Sabertooth Mark 2 Z97 board and a GTX 980. The other day, I took my computer downstairs to re-apply thermal paste on my cpu. As I was laying the computer on its side, I accidentally dropped it about 1-1/2 inches onto the table. There are no distortions in the video, and there are no hangs in the boot. I have the gpu seated nice and firm, and screwed in, and the case had a few cables on it to cushion it. I have not experienced any crashes, weird temps, or distortions with the video.

Do you think I could have hurt my computer? Whether it is the GPU or PCI-E slot?

Computer boots fine.

I wouldnt fret too much really. You stated already that you have no problems with the boot, video appears normal as before, and very importantly, there are no weird temps. Like many concerns with components (voltage, OC, ESD sparks, drops), you dont seem to notice immediately. Sometime it takes awhile and by that I meant it could be weeks, months, maybe even a year or two.. IF ITS DAMAGED. You are just like me in terms of being meticulous with what we do and over analyze Everything. Im sure you are fine, especially if you dont see anything wrong at this time. And if, in the future, you have problems you can troubleshoot then. Loose connections, hot GPU, devices mysteriously not being recognized.. there will always be something to look...
