So I recently upgraded my Gtx 560 se to a Nvidia Gtx 660 ti for my computer and whenever it is plugged in the computer peripherals will start up really fast. The monitor shows the log in screen for a second then the computer will begin a cycle where it powers on like 10 seconds,(the keyboard and mouse light up, the monitor shows signs that its about to display something) then everything powers down and it restarts.

Don't know if this helps but whenever the gtx 560 is plugged in it takes about 30 seconds for everything to start up and boot properly. when the 660 is in the keyboard lights will load instantly then shut down in like 5 seconds.

have you checked the 6 pin power connector if it is connected to the gtx 660 ti?.. have you checked if all the power connectors are attached properly to components of your system?

if they are then you might have defective gpu or a defective power supply (or your powersupply is not capable of running the 660 ti)

what is the brand of your 600 watts powersupply? i hope it is not electron or some generic psu because those psu would likely damage the 660 ti.

have faced that problem many times after installing some new hardware or after cleaning my pc. it would start with the fans spinning then the fans stop and the screen would be blank.

you want to try the remove the ram and put it back again method. or remove the ram and place it on the other ram slot
